Charles Cozette is studying for a Master’s degree in Bioeconomy at the TUM Straubing Campus. He recently participated in the Sharm el-Sheikh Climate Change Conference (COP27) with the Brazzaville Foundation. In the interview, he talks about his impressions and experiences at COP27. TUMCS student is EU Youth Ambassador for Bioeconomy
Olivia Mrozinski is studying towards a Bachelor’s in Technology of Biogenic Resources at the TUM Straubing campus. She and two classmates recently became three of 15 EU Youth Ambassadors for Bioeconomy. Their objective is among other things to sensitize the European Commission for sustainable transformation in society and the economy.

TUMCS Sustainability Ride 2022
The number of seats in the bus is limited to 50 participants. Therefore, registration is required. The principle first-come-first-served applies! The registration also includes the seats for the (German language) Presidential Event in the Audimax and the TUM Sustainability Symposium in Garching. A separate registration via the official portal for these events is not required!
Three days in the spirit of the bioeconomy
Around 200 participants from all over the world learned about current developments in the bioeconomy at the three-day symposium “Key Technologies in the Bioeconomy – A Global Bioeconomy Alliance Conference” at the TUM Campus Straubing (TUMCS) for Biotechnology and Sustainability at the end of September. The organisation of the conference under the slogan “KTB2022” was taken over by the TUMCS under the leadership of Rector Prof Volker Sieber and Prof Bastian Blombach.

Dr Alexander Trautrims is an Associate Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management and leads the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab Business & Economies programme.
Cu-Lighting Team Win Royal Society of Chemistry’s Prestigious Horizon Prize
A team of scientists from across Europe have been named the winner of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Dalton Division Horizon Prize, celebrating the most exciting chemical science taking place today. Among them is the the team of Prof. Rubén Costa, head of the Chair for Biogenic Funcitonal Materials at TUM Campus Straubing.
